Kids Halloween Craft

My little one and I had fun with this Halloween spider and ghost craft yesterday.

You will need:
Popsicle sticks
googly eyes
black/white paint
black pipe cleaners
Elmer's glue
Maybe some tape
card stock or fridge magnet

I cut my card stock to the width I wanted the spider/ghost to be.* We then glued the Popsicle sticks on to the card stock and let the paint dry. Once paint was dry we glued on the googly eyes, then glued on the legs we used 2 to pipe cleaner each cut into froths. Glue on the legs.( I ended up taping them because my little crafter got too much glue and it never dried so I wiped off and taped them on. with clear packing tape. I then cut another piece of the black pipe cleaner about the same size of the legs. and made a loop on the back so that the spider could be hung up.

*For the ghost I used an magnet and glued it on that instead of the card stock. It was one of those advertisement ones that comes on the phone book.

And an Elmo one because my little Elmo fan wanted to make Elmo. Elmo's nose is a Gatorade bottle cap.

Chicken Parmesan Spaghetti

Chicken Parmesan Spaghetti

Preheat Oven 375 degrees

4-6 skinless boneless chicken breasts
1 package of Ritz crackers
2 Tbsp. of flour
Garlic powder
Italian seasoning
Shredded parmesan cheese
Shredded mozzarella cheese
1 jar of Marinara sauce or pasta sauce
1 package of spaghetti noodles

If chicken is frozen thaw enough to get breading to stick to it.  In a gallon size zip lock crush the Ritz crackers add flour and some garlic powder and Italian seasoning and a small handful of the parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.  Put chicken in bag and shake to coat.  Spray a 9*13 baking dish and bake for 40 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.  Remove from oven and cover top of each piece with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Cook five minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Turn oven to broil and brown the cheese a bit.  Cook your spaghetti noodles according to package directions. In a sauce pan add your pasta sauce, some Garlic powder, and Italian seasoning and warm on medium heat. Serve sprinkle with more parmesan for garnish and flavor.

Quick Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

1 cup warm water
1pkg yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp from jar)
*mix until yeast is dissolved
Add:
1 tsp sugar
1tsp salt
2 Tbsp. melted butter or oil
2.5 Cups flour
Garlic powder (optional) (to taste not measured)
Italian seasoning (optional) (to taste not measured)

Mix and knead ( I knead it right in the bowl to keep the counter clean) let sit 5 minutes, roll out on greased pizza pan (I use a 16" pan.) Add toppings and bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

This recipe is also great for a quick frenchbread recipe or quick rolls. Only makes about 6 rolls so I usually double it if I am making rolls.
